Lathe processing skills, skilled manipulation of ordinary lathe processing artifacts of a qualified professional ability. Ordinary lathe machining technology is mechanical professional secondary vocational school students should be one of the most basic professional skill to master.Tongxiang city in recent years, with the local economic and social development and the needs of the transformation and upgrading of enterprises, more and more demand for technical talent, specification is becoming more and more high, demand the students master the professional skill is becoming more and more comprehensive. To improve students’ ability in ordinary lathe processing technology professional and technical research, in order to make the students in vocational skills, professional ethics, professional quality and professional strain capacity and so on all have large increase and improve, better performance of the positions and functions.To the research contents of this article has the following several aspects:(1) Closely around the theme of the thesis research, actively promote the theoretical research of lathe processing skills. Mainly for the study of the theory of the research work on secondary vocational and technical education, research work about skills talents with professional skill, about the teaching ideas of "raise integration" research, research work on "project teaching method", the research work of higher vocational and technical education, and research on higher vocational test work, etc., this paper studies the theory of leading role in promoting students lathe processing skills. Through the theoretical research, the research content of this paper to provide the necessary technical support and theoretical basis.(2) Through the research, this paper analyzed the present situation of the lathe processing machinery professional technical secondary school students skills and existing problems. That students tool grinding thin skill levels fall, the students turning processing content of strain capacity is insufficient, students’ technical ability seriously insufficient parts measurement, such as lack of student’s ability to adjust and maintain lathe four aspects.
