Research And Application Of Milk Traceability System

Milk is the best food for human which we can get from nature. However, in recent years, many dairy safety incidents were occurred in the country, Such as Fuyang "Big Head" event, melamine milk powder incident, aflatoxin M1 and so on, These dampen consumers’confidence in dairy products, and Quality and safety of dairy products has been widespread attention. Establishing traceability system of dairy, which can provides effective control measures for the dairy processing and production, It has become an important part to ensure the quality and safety of dairy products.This paper describes the analysis, design and implementation of dairy safety traceability system.This paper considers several aspects according to the characteristics of the system, such as the system’s frame design, requirements analysis of functions, database designing and coding rules, establishing a safe, sound, flexible, scalable and easy maintenance applications.In the framework of the system design, the system was developed and realized on Power Builder platform using C/S development model for practicality, reliability, easy maintenance and so on; In the system design, the system features a modular based primarily on demand; In database design, the system will store different information in different tables in order to avoid data redundancy according to the characteristics of the data; In terms of key technologies, the system encode the two-dimensional coding using QR Code, and achieve the function for scanning query with two-dimensional code.The system is divided into two parts, the first part is the dairy traceability system; second part is the mobile inquiry system. The system consists of six modules: materials management, quality management, production management, inventory management, sales management, and system settings. Each functional module held various management roles, and record the appropriate data. Data for product can display with two-dimensional code, which from the acquisition of raw milk to finished product, each part are recorded in the database of system, and then code the two-dimensional through the QR Code technique. The consumers can get the data of product through the scanning the two-dimensional code, When they buy the dairy products.The dairy traceability system throughout the entire process from raw milk acquisition, processing, marketing and other aspects, and the system has some features, it can record the data of product completely, and can get the information of the product with the two-dimensional code technology. The system that achieve the function of the full traceability for dairy which were processed from the purchasing raw milk to the sale product, and achieve the data’s and information’s management for the dairy companies. The system has good application prospects.
