Energy shortage has become one of the most serious problems that facing the whole world currently. With the progress of science and improvement of productivity, especially With the development of automobile industry, all kinds of energy are greatly consumed in an alarming speed. As one of the most important energy, oil fuel will also face to be dried up in a few decades. In order to alleviate the high strength pressure of energy, as well as the smooth transition of energy when oil has been dried up, countries all over the world are trying to search for the efficient, clean, economic alternative energy resources. With the superior performances of wide sources and environmental protection, methanol has got the attention of the researchers in different countries. Methanol gasoline is one of the most important items that all countries are competing to study, and it is the most potential alternative fuel of internal combustion engine currently.However, there are some technical problems for methanol gasoline to be substitute fuel in cars. Such as poor solubility of methanol and gasoline, easily to corrode metal components and to make plastic and rubber material swelling in the engine, prone to produce high temperature gas resistance when methanol and gasoline are mixed to form azeotrope.This article is based on the technical problems of methanol gasoline. First the mutual solubility of methanol and gasoline are studied. By adding emulsifier and cosolvent in a certain proportion, we get a good stability of methanol gasoline. Particle size analysis, centrifugation, and static methods are used to judge its stability. The influence of temperature and moisture content on its stability is also be inspected; next corresponding corrosion inhibitors and antiswelling agents are added to solve its corrosion and swelling problems, and the corrosion effect are inspected by scanning electron microscopy and standard color plate method; Then to alleviate the high temperature gas resistance problem, methyl tert-butyl ether is added in the methanol gasoline to improve its evaporation performance; last, the engine bench test is used to investigate its application performances such as dynamic, fuel economy and emission performance.In this paper, all kinds of technical problems of methanol gasoline are studied comprehensively and deeply. The methanol gasoline in good performances is obtained by a large number of experiments, and it has very important value to promote the methanol gasoline, to relieve the energy crisis, and to develop the new energy. |
