As an important part of the indoor environment in schools, indoor air quality has greatly influenced on health and working efficiency of staffs who lived in schools’ rooms such as students,teachers. However, most of elementary schools’ and middle schools’indoor air quality which from our country are not satisfactory due to the varing degrees of outdoor air pollution, rare of schools’indoor area per capita, poor of indoor ventilation rate, the health and safety problems of school building facilities.At the same time, the government, schools and the public are not enough to pay attention to the problems of the schools’ indoor air quality.America is one of the most outstanding countries which mainted and managed the schools’indoor air quality. In1995, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has created a set of Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools which help the U.S.schools to maintain their indoor air quality and has been improved year by year.Meanwhile, many states have also formulated the policy of the schools’ indoor air quality management. The policy are both legislative measures including State Education laws, State Health Laws,State Labor Laws and regulations which have been made by the state administration department to promote school districts carry out the indoor air quality management.This paper uses the three-dimensional model frame of policy analysis,discuss and analyse the contents, the execution and the values of the policy of American schools’ indoor air quality management,and put forward some suggestions in order to improve our schools indoor air quality.
