Standardization has became an important strategy of national and industrial development under the background of economic globalization. With the adjustment of industrial structure in the worldwide, the standardization of service industry has became an important field that international standardization works, and the standardization of tourism service is a very important part of which has become an important strategic actions that related to the development of tourism industry. Since1987, China’s tourism industry has been vigorously promoting the standardization work. Tourism standardization has achieved good economic and social benefits which described as remarkable achievements by implementing the tourism standardization led strategy and carrying out different levels of tourism standardization work and pilot construction, so that the tourism standardization become essential the critical foundation work of China’s tourism economic construction. According to the literature retrieval, the author, reviewing and combing the current research literature of domestic and foreign which related to tourism standardization, comprehensively analyzing and clearing the present situation of tourism services standardization study, which pointing out that tourism standardization theoretical studies indicate lagging behind the reality of the working practices, especially the evaluation research of tourism services standardization benefits in which lacking of scientific, effective and operable evaluation index system and model. Through to sort out and analyze deeply the concepts of standardization, service standardization and tourism standardization, the author define the concept of tourism services standardization and elaborate the effects mechanism and efficiency implications of tourism services standardization. Simultaneously the relevant theoretical applied by the article has been discussed in order to determine the direction of the theoretical research.By using the method of combining theory and practice, the author describe the development status of the tourism services standardization in the tourism industry of China which is based on the actual situation, and expound the basic framework, characteristics and the strategic significance of tourism services standardization in theory while articulating clearly the basic situation of the development of China’s tourism service standardization. The author, referencing to the achievements of other industry standard benefit evaluation from the comparative analysis of existing standardized evaluation methods, conducting the applied research of tourism services standardization benefit evaluation with which combined the actual situation of tourism services standardization, which provide a theoretical basis for the construction of evaluation index system of the tourism services standardization benefits.Based on the above theoretical research, considering the characteristics and connotation of tourism services standardization, the author definitely establish the principle of evaluation index of tourism services standardization benefits.
