Research Of Overseas Mergers And Acquisitions About China’s Energy

Energy is the food of industry, playing an important role in a country’s economic development and national security. Since China’s reform and opening up, China’s economy has been maintaining a momentum of high speed development for a long time. It consumed a lot of resources, especially oil and gas.Because domestic energy production is limited,the gap of China’s energy demand is more and more big, gradually lost the situation of energy self-sufficient. China has to import more and more crude oil, product oil and other energy products from the international market. So far, the dependence of foreign energy gradually has become a bottleneck of the development of China economy, has become the important factors that affect national security. In order to relieve the tense situation of energy supply, but also focus on long-term and sustainable economic development of China, the Chinese government began to implement the strategy of "going out", trying to open up a new way of energy security. Under this background, CNPC,CPCC,CNOOC, the leaders of China’s energy enterprises begin to go abroad and step onto the world energy stage, joining the overseas energy acquisitions.It has obtained certain achievement,for China’s energy security and economic development. But because of its high risk of overseas mergers and acquisitions, combined with its little experience of Chinese enterprises, China’s overseas energy merger and acquisition hasn’t been able to achieve the goals of getting stable energy supplies and energy security, there are still some problems to be solved.This paper analyzed the characteristics of the current Chinese overseas energy acquisitions, motivation, and the main influence factors. It evaluates China’s current overseas energy acquisitions of China’s energy security for actual effect from the actual amount energy access, the international energy price, the protection of energy diplomacy environment three aspects and pointing that the current China’s overseas energy acquisitions exist some specific problems.Learning the experience and lessons of the multinational energy mergers and acquisitions of home and abroad enterprises, and according to China’s actual conditions, this paper puts forward some proposals and perfect measures to China’s overseas energy acquisitions.
