Competency model is an effective tool used in human resource management which unifies the recruitment, training, performance appraisal, compensation and human resource planning.However, in the current human resource management of many Chinese enterprises, competency model utilization is still in the primary stage. QZMX Company has used competency model since2007.In the process of using this competency model, the HR department found in the performance and further training of those employees based on the assessment of competency model cannot be as satisfactory as them supposed to be. After further study, the HR department found the answer——the discrepancy of personnel assessment utilization based on this version of competency model would affect other human resource management. The HR department began to study the new competency model in consideration of company background.This paper is the research on the new competency model of QZMX Company based on the situations discussed above. According to the current competency model theory, we want to find the appropriate method in building the new competency model. In addition, the analysis of the defects in the original competency model brings us the view of the improvement of new competency model which correspond with current company and the need of the human resource management. |
