Logical empiricism keep the statement as the research object, and each statementand corresponding each experience, trying to find each of the statements of theexperience. Quine against such practice, and think this is a dogmatic practices, in hisview, the theory is not alone with the corresponding experience, but as a whole, in theface of experience, based on this, he advocated the holism knowledge theory. InQuine’s theory of knowledge of holism,"meaning stimulating ""observation sentence"” the posing of the conception of ontological commitment" and so on play asupporting role. Have to admit that, on the other hand, because of holism coveredrange is too wide, so have to be responsible for the damage done by its holism,Quine,it is mild. In addition, pragmatism, the epistemology of natural and holism knowledgetheory has a great connection, pragmatism is inevitably leading to the end of theholism knowledge theory, and nature of epistemology and the overall socialist theoryof knowledge. Quine’s holism thought is great impact on science, his holism andDuhem holism are collectively known as "Quine-Duhem" argument, for thisargument, most of the philosophy of science has admitted the Duhem’s wholeideology and refused to acknowledge Quine’s holism, this is mainly because Quine’sholism due to the range of expansion and the thesis does not pass the pseudo sexualregulation, make many philosophers of science to Quine’s holism adopted a reservedattitude.
