Research On Application Of Six Sigma In Supplier Quality Management

With the development of economic globalization, Supplier quality management hasbecome an important way of enterprise management innovation. It’s a difficult problem forElectronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) enterprises on how to improve the supplierquality and to change the method from re-action to pro-action. The application of SixSigma theory can provide a solution to this problem. Thus the thesis takes C Company, oneof EMS companies, as the research object. It discusses the application of Six Sigma inimproving supplier quality management. It also does some innovated research on both thefeasibility and reference case of application of Six Sigma Management in supplier qualitymanagement.The thesis firstly introduces the related theories of supplier quality management, sixsigma management and research summaries; Secondly, analyzes the status of supplierquality management of C company, the existing problems and the feasibility of applicationof Six Sigma Management in supplier quality management; Thirdly, provides the casesolution for C company on how to manage supplier quality based on six sigmamanagement and evaluated the effects of the implementation of Six Sigma project; Finally,summarized this study and pointed out the lack of research and prospects for furtherresearch.The thesis can provide reference for similar EMS enterprises to apply Six SigmaManagement into supplier quality management.
