Farmers’ Information Literacy Research

With the urging importance of the "three rural" issue by the country, agricultural information thrive as a hot spot of the entire society and received widespread concern. Massive construction is conducted by governments around rural information system. At present, the rural information revolves around work and other aspects of the hardware infrastructure has made significant achievement. However, as rural information is a comprehensive information technology, it is urgent not only to increase investment in rural infrastructure, such as the information on hardware, but also to establish a solid start from the farmers themselves by steadily building and training so as to improve farmers’ own "soft power"; hence cultivating a new generation of farmers with higher information literacy. Farmers with higher information literacy can promote rural information and new rural construction radically. Information construction in rural areas is meant to enhance farmers’information literacy; and by saying to improve farmers’information literacy is fundamentally to promote our basic approach to information construction in rural areas, and simultaneously reinforcing mutual relationship between them.This article revolves around the issue of farmers’information literacy research and extends in third areas.The first aspect is built around five major aspects of information literacy of farmers, for data analysis. The target, Baokang County farmers, is studied through research, data collation, and understanding the basic situation of farmers, all from the sense of information and accessing the information channels, five aspects of information needs, information use and information ethics, information literacy problems for farmers and also a comparative analysis of the data. This section is mainly covered in the third and fourth sections of the chapter.The second aspect of the main farmers’information literacy focus around the status quo and problems described., Through information literacy data analysis, reasons which hinder Baokang County farmers to enhance their information literacy are identified, also by utilizing the use of information theory-depth analysis of the causes. Related articles of this part is covered mainly in the fifth chapter.A third aspect mainly focus around how to improve agricultural information literacy measures and countermeasures needs to be elaborated. The third part of the analysis of the reasons is put forward to improve farmers’ information literacy policies and measures. In order to effectively serve the information construction in rural areas, enhancing information literacy competency of farmers and demand, targeted information services to the rural population to carry out knowledge to provide decision-making are essential concepts. This part is the main point of the sixth chapters of the paper.
