With rapid social and economic development as well as changing domestic andinternational economic environments, enterprises face more and more challenges ofmanagerial knowledge and skills. In order to increase enterprise competitiveness andensure sustainable development momentum, it will become one of the targets ofenterprise human resource management to cultivate sound employee relations,formulate more humanized management ideas, and therefore improve economicperformance. Besides, stable employee relations will safeguard steady and soundenterprise development.Based on the internal management condition in Daqing Petroleum ExplorationCompany, the article makes an in-depth analysis of employee relations managementin the company. Combining the actual situation in the company, the article finds outdifferent kinds of problems that exist in its employee relations management, analyzethe causes, and provides improvement plans. With regard to employee relationsmanagement in the company, there exist many problems: too many problems leftover from the past, incompatibility between traditional thoughts of old SOEemployees and innovative ideas of new-generation employees, lack of effectivemanagement of employees’ emotion, unscientific personnel structure and lack ofcommunication. In response to these problems, the article analyzes their causes andprovides improvement plans, including a relatively effective communication system,improving all existing systems, and strengthening employee participation inmanagement. Employee relations management is an important part of human resourcemanagement and has been paid more attention to by enterprises. However, unlikerecruitment, training, performance, payment and other human resource managementwork, contents of employee relations management are relatively abstract, there areno quantized standards, and employee relations management exists in allmanagement work. Therefore, in state owned enterprises (SOE), no scientific andeffective management mechanism is available for employee relations management,and employee relations management has not been specially studied or strengthened,which result in failure to properly solve many problems and conflicts. In anenterprise, the basic issue of employee relations management is about people, theuppermost part of which is about the managerial personnel. Especially in thetransformation period of an enterprise, policy-makers are usually active in employeerelations management, while grass-roots employees can often only accept passively,and act as main targets of improvement plans for employee relations management. Inemployee relations management, whether managerial personnel can well play theirrole and achieve self-positioning, self-restraint, self-actualization and evenself-transcendence is vital not only to harmony of employee relations management,but also to development of the enterprise.The article gives a description of the current condition of employee relations inDaqing Petroleum Exploration Company at first, and then summarizes problems inits employee relations management. Through documentary analysis method,qualitative analysis method and quantitative analysis method, the article provides anin-depth analysis of causes of employee relations management problems in thecompany, and finalizes relatively complete improvement plans. Since differentproblems may occur in the practical implementation of those plans, in the end of thearticle, guarantees for smooth implementation of those plans are presented. Thoseplans can make employee relations management more scientific and complete, enhance trust of employees in the enterprise, improve satisfaction and loyalty ofemployees, increase company competitiveness, enhance enterprise cohesion, andhelp the enterprise embrace challenges facing the energy exploration industry underthe new situation.
