The21stcentury is called as “marine century”.It is necessary to carry outresearch on regional system of man-sea relation.China is a big country,but also a bigoceanic country.As is known to all, the rise of any modern world must depend on theocean.China’s social and economic development will also increasingly rely on theocean. Mr Wu Chuanjun, Chinese outstanding geologist and membership of ChineseAcademy of Sciences, put forward "the core of geography research-regional systemof man-land relation". Combining with China’s reality, he also put forward"geography must face the ocean", so the research of man-land relation was stretchedto man-sea relation which was called as regional system of man-sea relation when itwas implemented to a certain region. At present, because of the population explosion,shortage of land resources, limited land resources cannot meet the growingdemand.Marching to the sea is inevitable.In the process of developing oceanresources,the depredation of marine resources and the pollution of coastal ecologicalenvironment are very serious. The carrying capacity on marine resources andenvironment has been in a state of overload, therefore, it is urgent to carry outresearch on sustainable development of regional system of man-sea relation.Thisarticle selects the typical regional system of man-sea relation in shandong province,Blue Shandong Peninsula Economic Zone for empirical research,analyzes thedevelopment situation from the aspects of economy, society,ecological environment,the development stage and the bottleneck constraints at this stage,evaluates itssustainable development condition,and finally puts forward countermeasures topromote the sustainable development of Blue Shandong Peninsula Economic Zone.According to the principle of index system, establish sustainability evaluation index system, use the method of entropy method and triangle model to calculateevaluation index of each subsystem.Discuss the variation characteristics and internalcauses of each index from the time series,and evaluate sustainability status andtrend.It mainly points out the development model of land and sea co-ordination on thepremise of the market system construction and support of marine science andtechnology, and finally puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.
