The Export Of Environmental Goods In Jiangsu

With environment protection and sustainable development concept getting more and more recognition, environmental industry and trade encouraged by various countries. Since the1990s, the development of environmental goods trade significantly faster than the general merchandise trade. Environmental goods have grown into the latest must-haves in the burgeoning of international trade. Relative to the developing countries and undeveloped countries, developed countries pay more attention to environmental goods research and trade, environmental goods trade is relatively mature. They have significant trade competition advantage. Due to the complex international and domestic situation, China’s environmental industry was born late and developed slow. There is still a large gap compared with the developed countries. This is very disproportionate with the image that China is the world’s first major exporter. Jiangsu is China’s largest export provinces. There are important theoretical and practical significance to analyze its environmental goods export competitiveness, and study how to make full use of WTO rules and the advanced technology of developed countries to achieve the leapfrog development of Jiangsu environmental goods export and make the environment trade to be the new growth point of foreign trade in Jiangsu, and then to promote the sustainable development of environment, economy and society in Jiangsu.For the background described above, the author studied by applying the available reference materials and adopting a set of research methods, such as statistical analysis, data analysis, positive analysis and comparative analysis. In general, the paper is composed of six chapters. Firstly, on the basis of defining the environmental goods, the paper using environmental economic theory, public theory, free trade theory, sustainable development theory as the main theoretical basis, to put forward the theory transmission mechanism that take environmental products as the carrier, free trade as the mode, aim at the goal of sustainable development. The paper expounded the basic issue of environmental goods, made a foreshadowing in theory for the following research and analysis. Secondly, through the analysis of Jiangsu environmental industry development course, development characteristics and present situation of environmental goods international trade, made clear the development background of Jiangsu environmental goods export, proved support for the analysis of the influence factors of below. Thirdly, combining with the State Statistical Yearbook data and research scholar home and abroad, the paper constructed the evaluation system of Jiangsu environmental goods export competitiveness, composed with2models. One model includes value index, price index, and quantity index, which is a cross section data analysis. The other one includes export contribution rate, the advantage of variation index, and intra-industry trade index, which is a time sequence analysis. Finally, based on the above theory and empirical analysis, the paper put forward some reasonable, feasible, and targeted countermeasures and Suggestions from the macroscopic government level of participation in the WTO negotiations, reforming the finance policy, the industry association level of coordinating contradictions, maintaining the rights, and the microscopic enterprise level of adjusting its production structure, promoting clean production, and so on.
