Commercial Model W Company

Business model is the basis for enterprises’survival and development. Any successful enterprise has an effective, unique and sustainable business model. In recent years, with the rapid growth of the Internet economy, more and more enterprises are willing to adopt the free business model.The paper selects the W Company as a case to study the free business model issue. The W Company try to build the medical platform with the terminal called HATM(Health Auto Teller Machine).It uses free business to prompt reach the number of users that is needed by the platform operation, so that it can occupy the market and use different ways to profit with the huge number of users. However, the W Company is more likely a real economy enterprise which is different with the Internet companies that apply free business model. The marginal cost of the product of the W Company will not gradually reduce and near zero, so it is more difficult and stressful for the W Company to insist on free model. For this reason, this paper will study the following questions. Whether the planned profit will be realized or not? What other ways can bring profit? How to survive the free period of initial difficulties when free?This paper is based on the theories of business model, especially of free business model. It studies the present situation of the W Company which includes the competitive power, organization structural and procedure, customer and market issues, analyses the external environment of the company, then points out the main problems in the current, finally puts forward some countermeasure to improve the company. Through the study of this paper, the author hopes to give some advices for the development of the W company, provide some reference points in the operation and corporation with the hospital of those enterprises which do medical-healthcare business that related with hospital and contributed examples and ideas to explore an appropriate way for those enterprises which use free business model in real economy.
