| Design of organizational structure is prerequisite for enterprise management. A reliable structure is essential for an organization to overcome the limits in aspects of resource, environment, and technology. An effective organizational management is significant for improving productivity, enhancing strategic competitiveness and maintaining a sustainable development. The paper analyzes the case of C Company by applying the relevant theories in terms of organizational structure. The specialty of insurance industry is also considered. Several methods are employed to complete the field study of C Company, including data collection, interview and brainstorming. Based on the analysis of existing organizational structure and department design of C Company, the problems in terms of conflict between organizational structure and marketing positioning and strategy, ambiguous management and job duties as well as communication barrier are identified. A new organization structure is designed with considering the available resources C Company could use, which optimizes organization structure and department design and redefines some key positions and responsibilities. At the same time, corresponding security measures are provided. The paper could use for reference not only to strategy implementation, market adaption, core competitiveness cultivation, which are vital for future development of C Company, but also to the design of enterprise organization structure in insurance industry. |
