In recent years, the governments and researchers have paid more and more attention to the important role of micro enterprises, which can solve the employment problem, narrow the gap between the rich and the poor, promote economic prosperity and development, maintain social harmony and stability, cultivate good local entrepreneurs and so on. Based on the definition of micro enterprise’connotation and the analysis of its character, we can find that the micro enterprise’assets are usually very small, the number of employees is very few and lots of them are family-style workshop, so the micro business owners will play an important role to the miniature enterprise’development.This study will take the micro business owners as research object and discuss from the perspective of emotional intelligence for the first time. To micro business owners, this paper will explore the impact of their emotional intelligence on micro enterprise’ performance and its mechanism of action by introducing entrepreneurial self-efficacy as the mediator variable.We will put the micro enterprises in Chongqing as the sample. After analyzing the235valid questionnaires by Statistical software, we found that the micro business owners’emotional intelligence has significant positive influence on the performance of this micro enterprise. At the same time, entrepreneurial self-efficacy plays a partial mediating role between the micro business owners ’emotional intelligence and their enterprise’performance.
