Since Mayer&Salovey of Yale University put forward the concept of emotional intelligence, many scholars at home and abroad turned the attention to emotional intelligence. Under the impetus of professor Goleman in the Harvard University, emotional intelligence, be regarded as a kind of competitiveness, takes root in management and attract enterprise; It also is seen as the breakthrough point to improve the performance, playing a very important practical value. Emotional intelligence means perceive one’s own and other’s emotion and control effectively and proper use it. This concept react the individual ability to the emotion expression and apply. It just like the motor drive of the car, the action of the people is driven by the emotion, people may lose their mind when they are controlled by the emotion; and the control ability of emotion in influenced on the staff’s working condition and performance directly. So in an age of emotion management increasingly valued, the concept that emotional intelligence was widely researched. Existing a lot of research confirmed that emotional intelligence can predict work performance, so the relationship between emotional intelligence and work performance also become the focus of management research.In many fields that research the relationship between emotional intelligence and work performance, the study of staffs after1985in internet industry haven’t been focused on And the young group who be affected by social background and growth environment has its unique individual character, which bring various challenges for the management. If successfully guide, which can be showing their passionate and creative features, creating high performance for the enterprise. But if failing to guide them, it will increase the possibility of conflict between staffs after1985and management. Which also affect the staffs’work condition Thus, it is urgent to pay more attention to this group. Exploring the relationship between emotional intelligence and work performance in staffs after1985, help enterprise effectively manage the group, who young and bearing greater responsibility.On account of these and practical, this article researched to staffs after1985of an large-scale internet enterprise (for short Company Y), it through the document analysis and field investigation to investigate and survey the relationship between the emotional intelligence condition and the emotional intelligence and the job performance. It gets the conclusion as follow:1. Staffs after1985to be promote the emotional intelligence. 2. Gender, date of birth, years of working as well as position, these demographic variables exist difference on emotional intelligence and all dimensionalities.3. All dimensionalities of emotional intelligence and of job performance have positive correlation, and emotional intelligence has some predictive effect on job performance.Through the analysis and empirical study, this article builds the emotion-performance management model, elaborating four parts’relationship in improving emotional intelligence and management. The four parts is organization, HR department, immediate superior and employees. Which enriching the theory of emotion management and performance management, and putting forward suggestions in improving emotional intelligence and promoting the performance optimization from the perspective of multiple.
