The Study On The Supervision Mode Of Street Food’ Safety

In recent years, food safety problems are more prominent social problems,at the present China’s food safety department has been at the forefront of publicopinion, and one of the important measures to solve the problem of food securityis to highten the supervision on food safety. Current food security situation isnot optimistic in our country, and accidents occur frequently, which not onlyseriously threaten people’s life safety and body health, but also have asignificant impact on the economic development, political stability and socialharmony. Street food as a special mode of production and sales, providesconvenient service to people. But it is a high risk factor of a food borne illness,and always threatens the food safety and body health of people. How tostrengthen the supervision of street food and improve the efficiency ofsupervision, become an important subject for experts and governmentdepartments at all levels. Developed countries such as United States, EuropeanUnion, Singapore, etc, has accumulated many successful experiences in themodel and mechanism of street food supervision, and provided the valuablereference for china’s food safety supervision problems. At present， the mainproblems of China’s street food safety supervision are the lag of laws andregulations construction, and coexistence of absence and omission of laws andregulations, and segmentation and afterwards supervision, etc. This studyanalysized the current domestic food safety supervision mode and presentsituation, and investigated and analysis the knowledge of the Street foodvendors and the law-enforcement staff in food safety supervision departments,and find out the current problems of street food safety supervision. On the basisof the experience of supervision mode in developed countries, we suggestedmergering the supervision agencies, setting up early warning mechanism andinformation platform, and building autonomy model, and strengthening the whole process supervision of street food safety regulation. So we can build aclear regulation, and control the comprehensive operation, and set up theChinese model of efficient and accountability. We also explore an effectivemode of Chinese characteristics in food safety supervision, and provide ascientific basis for decision-making for the government.
