Suitability Evaluation Method Of GIS-based In Land Remediation

The rapid development of the economy and the acceleration of theindustrialization process, are bound to occupy the already limited arable land resources.Coupled with China’s large population, the per capita arable land, withstood a severetest of the arable land resources. In order to increase agricultural production capacity,increase effective arable land, and achieve Dynamic Balance of Farmland, a new roundof land remediation work in our country is in full swing from year2011.In land remediation work, it is ont only to increase the amount of arable land butalso to improve the quality of arable land. Land suitability assessment is to determinewhether the land suitable for a certain type of land use, and effective means to improvethe quality of cultivated land. As an important element in the land remediation work,land suitability assessment method is also more and more concern by scholars. Thispaper above summarize existing land suitability assessment methods, analyze itsstrengths and weaknesses, take land remediation planning documents as the standard,select the farmland and rural construction land for the study and divide farmland landconsolidation into following types by function. They are flat of land consolidation area:terracing consolidation area and grid field consolidation area, farmland waterconservancy consolidation area, rural roads consolidation area; And rural constructionland consolidation area which aim at rural construction land. The suitability evaluationindex system is constructed separately for each type of land consolidation. We try tostudy suitable for land remediation planning appropriate evaluation method. Organizingand analysing of data mainly use GIS methods. The use contains GIS data organization,processing and spatial analysis functions. Based on these, we realize the wholesuitability assessment process. Put Yanting County as the object of empirical research, administrative villages asevaluation units, do suitability evaluation of land remediation on farmland and ruralconstruction land. In this process, the important consolidation areas are obtained foreach type of land consolidation area. At last, through field research, the results of theevaluation and the actual are better agreement. This illustrate the suitability assessmentmethod can be applied to the planning of land remediation. And provide a reference forthe evaluation of the suitability of the land remediation.
