Along with the development of the precious metals market, commercial Banks in the field of investment and attention, investment scale is also increasing. Precious metals assets are increasing, and maintained a rapid growth trend, promote the commercial bank asset organization optimization and income structure optimization. Because of this, the precious metals market growing competition among various participants. In the face of increasingly fierce competitive environment, how to combine its own characteristics determine its commercial Banks in the competition of precious metals business development strategy, to further develop their business advantages, improve the management contribution of precious metals business of commercial Banks, is the key research direction in this paper.In this paper, using the theory of competitiveness, and the theory of competitive strategy theory and knowledge, for precious metals in commodities, currencies and financial attribute has carried on the comprehensive analysis. In combination with precious metals from the development of the market, systematically elaborated the current main products of commercial Banks in the development of precious metals. On this basis, from breed, process, sales model and price formation mechanism and a comprehensive contrast of precious metals sales enterprise; From the aspects of product, income structure and sales channels are analyzed about the present situation of the competition between commercial Banks, commercial Banks in precious metals business development are pointed out the advantages and disadvantages.Comprehensive consideration the advantage and disadvantage of the competition relations, proposed in this paper, the core point of view, namely the precious metals overall competition strategy of the development of commercial Banks is based on the accumulated kind of precious metals, focusing on the transaction type of precious metals, advance with the financial characteristics of physical kind of precious metals, strengthen the precious metal derivative financial product and service innovation,further demonstrate financial characteristic of precious metals, become a commercial bank middle business development new areas and new bright spot. And from the customer development, product innovation, perfect channel, process optimization, the platform construction, the service response and so on six aspects proposed the concrete development countermeasures and improvement measures, precious metals next development direction of commercial Banks.
