A Study On Regional Difference Of Industry Cluster

In recent years, industrial cluster has become a major means for developedcountries and developing countries to improving national competitiveness.Because itcan reduce transaction cost, improve the innovation ability and the realization ofexternal economy.Electronic information industry in our country has also beengradually developed toward the industrial cluster in order to obtain interests in capital,technology, innovation and so on. However, as industrial cluster in our country aremost builded by government,their economy effects are not fully revealed.Thereforeresearching The difference between industrial clusters are important for guidingindustrial cluster’s transformation and upgrade.This paper constructing the indexsystem from Electronic information’s influence factors and the effect,with factoranalysis and Clustering analysis method,take the Electronic information industry inYangtze River Delta as an example to study its difference in industry scale, innovationcapability, cluster level, development environment.Results show that（:1）The first cluster: Shanghai, Jiangsu. their four index scoresare higher than other14cities. The second cluster:Wuxi, Hangzhou, Ningbo andNanjing.In development environment index, Four cities’ difference is very small.Inindustry scale index,Wuxi scores is the highest in the four cities. In the innovationcapability index,Nanjing ranks in the first place in four cities. In the cluster levelindex,Ningbo is top the list.Except industry scale index,the rest indexes of Hangzhourank second.The third cluster:Changzhou, Nantong.In the industry scale index anddevelopment environment index, Changzhou score higher than Nantong; in theinnovation capability index and cluster level index, Changzhou score is inferior toNantong.The fourth cluster:Yangzhou, Zhenjiang, Jiaxing, Shaoxing. In the industryscale index score,Yangzhou, Zhenjiang are higher than the other two cities. In theinnovation capability index,Shaoxing is top the list.In the cluster level index,Jiaxing,Yangzhou score close and higher than other two cities.In development environmentindex, Shaoxing, Jiaxing, Zhenjiang score close, Yangzhou is the minimum.The fifthcluster:Taizhou, Huzhou, Taizhou, Zhoushan. In the industry scale index, Taizhou,Taizhou cities are higher than the other. In the industry innovation capability indexand industrial cluster level index score, Taizhou is top the list. In the developmentenvironment index, Taizhou is in the highest score. Zhoushan ranks the lowest in16cities in each index.（2）Spatial distribution characteristics to Electronic informationindustry cluster in Yangtze River Delta is high conglomeration and low coupling.Cluster type distribution to Electronic information industry cluster inYangtze River Delta is also unbalanced.Its type like a "gourd".In the last, the paper come up with different measures for the five Electronicinformation industry clusters and preliminary study how to develope Electronicinformation industry clusters as a whole.
