The devastating "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake, in2008left70,000people dead and lay waste to large areas. Together with the national people, the people in the disaster areas, facing to post-disaster reconstruction, want to develop the modern agriculture and construct the agricultural strong province by scientific plans. Today, the plan for three years post-disaster reconstruction work has been completed smoothly. There will be lots of experience, gain and loss through the reconstruction process of Agriculture Technology Extension Service System (ATESS) in Sichuan. Now it can provide useful reference for the future to this reconstruction work. Thus Research on reconstruction of ATESS in Sichuan after the Wenchuan earthquake will be studied in detail and the main works are as follows:1. On the basis of consulting a large number of data, the general situation of the main economic and agricultural development in Sichuan disaster area before the earthquake is introduced. The current situation of ATESS is mainly described2. The damage of agriculture and ATESS in Sichuan earthquake disaster area is studied in detail by means of investigation and practice. The major problems that must be faced in the post-disaster reconstruction on ATESS are also summarized.3. The diversified agricultural extension organization model is discussed. And the innovative ATESS is proposed that the government, experts, farmers and enterprise will be combined as the main body after a disaster. Finally five aspects are proposed that must pay attention when we perfect the innovation ATESS.
