Machine Tool Industry Technology Innovation System Construction And Empirical Analysis

Machine tool industry plays a strategic role in national economic development as the machine tool of the equipment manufacturing industry. In recent years, machine tool industry has become the world’s largest importer, consumer and producer with rapid development. But there are still many problems, even though China is a big house in machine tool manufacturing, but not a powerhouse in machine tool manufacturing.Firstly, this paper systematically combines the innovation system theory and the research of the predecessors in Triple Helix innovation theory. Then, it introduces the innovation system theory and the machine tool industry based on their characteristics to build a model of technological innovation system which contains traditional models of government, industry, academia and research, and also includes competitive enterprises and downstream enterprises. Besides, it analyzes the dynamic mechanism, diffusion mechanisms and operational mechanism of the machine tool industry technology innovation system based on the theory of Triple Helix innovation theory.In addition, this article analyzes the current status of the technological innovation system in machine tool industry comprehensively based on the model. I select four input indicators, three output indicators, and eleven key listed companies of machine tool industry in innovation efficiency with the method of DEA. According to the empirical results, this article states the direction of improving the efficiency of innovation.In the last of the paper, it gives the strategy of improving the machine tool industry technology innovation ability from the point of the main body and its mutual cooperation in the system based on the machine industry technology innovation problems.The innovation point of this paper lies in applying the technological innovation system theory to the machine tool industry and building machine tool industry technological innovation system according to characteristics of machine tool industry. In the meanwhile, it analyzes the dynamic mechanism of the system based on the Triple Helix innovation theory. The paper suggests the follow-up research to focus on the empirical analysis of the whole industry’s innovation ability and efficiency.
