The development of urbanization is accompanied by the expansion of the city, and land resources have been transferred from agricultural land to non-agricultural land for construction. Because of China’s special land system, property rights arrangements, decentralization and urbanization way, China’s land resources allocation during urbanization process presents some remarkable features. Based on land economics and new institutional economics theory, we explore the impact of the Yangtze River Delta area of land resource allocation and configuration features of the urbanization process. Firstly, we study the basic situation of the Yangtze River Delta region allocation of land resources, including land urbanization trends, land expropriation and compensation, and transferring, using of urban construction land and calculated per unit of output of urban construction land. Secondly, we summarize the current allocation of land resources characteristics, and explored the cause of the current system configuration mode. Thirdly, we analysis mechanism theory of how can land resource allocation impact urbanization, we also explored the impact of land resource allocation for the welfare of rural residents and urban-rural gap from an empirical perspective, and studied the effects of land resource allocation to real estate prices and labor flows; Finally, based on the above theoretical and empirical analysis, we give policy recommendations for land reform market-oriented system.
