Nowadays,the market competition is becoming increasingly fierce.The ultimate goal of an enterprise is to pursue profits,more and more enterprises start to realize that saving is earned.How to effectively optimize the purchase management to make SCM to be core-competitiveness has become a important management achievement of manager of multinational corporation.As a subsidiary company in China,so does D company.It is vital for D company to find a suitable way of optimizing the purchase management to solve the current purchase problems and to make purchase to be important one of value-added chains of D company.There is no doubt that a good purchase management system helps D company become more and more competitive than any other competitors in global market.This paper started from the introduction of the theory of traditional purchase management,contemporary purchase management and the trend of purchase management development.And then made an analysis for the current status and main problems of purchase management in D company.Based on the analysis results,the paper proposed the purchase management updating methods that D company should adopted as follows:one proposal is the strategy of purchase by classifications based on different types of materials.The second one is the strategy of supplier selection and management based on special marketing environment.The third one is the strategy how to effectively cut the cost down. Finally,to well implement the strategy of purchase management optimization,the paper presented a series of action including establishing purchase organizational locating human resource, purchase process reengineering,forming effective monitor system and setting up platform including infrastructure and related tools etc.
