Decision-making Of International Competitive Bidding For Road Project In Africa For Huashan Corporation

As China’s domestic construction market competition intensifies, more and more construction enterprises are to go abroad, to participate in international bidding competition. Meantime, attracted by the broad market in China, lots of international engineering companies now moving into the Chinese construction market, which had brought a lot of successful experience and examples of international bidding that been known to and accepted by more and more employers or firms. Therefore, how to make the right and proper decision in an international bidding environment has become a serious question for all Chinese construction firms who want to be an international builders.To this, the author of this essay has carried out his study as per the following procedure: Firstly, study on the most popular and wide-used domestic and international bidding decision theories, such as comprehensive evaluation method, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, probability analysis method and so on; Secondly, research and analyze on a specific international tendered project to find out the mistakes been made in the part of the bidding decision-making process, and also analyzes the reasons for their occurrence. Then, considering the actual situation of the enterprise and the sepcific environment of the project, design a set of bidding decision-making model which is also for later reference in the work. Finally, propose a list of meausres to ensure the decision-making model working properly and effectively, including the related measures in the organization, management, economy, information etc., as reference for the decision-making management.In the end, the author summarized the mentioned methods for international project bidding decision-making in the essay, and emphasized the importance of applying the methods and proposed the guarantee measures for decision-making model. Moreover, the author further put forward the need to continue to study and research solutions for the practical problems in the routine works.
