Nuclear power equipment manufacturing companies are developing quickly in alongwith the rising of nuclear power projects in China. Therefore, the importance of nuclearpower projects is gradually looming large, and the purchasing management plays a criticalpart in project management, has an important influence in the cost, quality and schedule of theproject. All these conditions require the nuclear power manufacturing companies to improvethe purchasing management activities continuously so as to ensure the material supply to besupplied in a timely manner with good quality.This paper takes S company Haiyang Project as the study object, analyzes and studiesthe purchasing management in this project. Firstly, the paper introduces the background,purpose and significance, domestic and oversea study status, and the innovation in this paper,etc. Secondly, the paper introduces the whole condition of this project, and defines thecharacteristics of purchasing management in this project, and presents the material supplyissues existing in this project. Finally, cost management is improved in this paper based onestablishment of purchasing system, feasible bid appraisal system, and implementation ofcentralized procurement; based on the purchasing characteristics of this projects, AnalyticHierarchy Process is employed to establish supplier evaluation index system, and concludesthe importance factors of each index factor affecting the procurement of nuclear powerprojects, which provides decision basis for strengthening the purchasing management of Scompany, further enhances the purchasing management level of Haiyang nuclear powerprojects, and improves the measures for purchasing management.
