Impact On Urban Development In The Tianjin Economic And Technological Development Zone

Since China launched the reform and open-up policy, China’s economic and social transformation promote reconstruction of urban space, the speeding up of urbanization, many cities undergoing structural change. Development zones also are the important achievements of the reform and opening up, after thirty years of development, have obtained the huge achievement. Development zones not only become the city’s economic growth point, the main position of export-oriented economy, the core of innovation system, but also become a driving force of the urbanization process in China. In the process of development zones’ growing up, the spatial relationship between development zones and urban becomes more and more close and complicated. Exploring the interaction between development zones and city development, the impact of development zones’ construction on urban development and the effect degree, have important significance for the development zones’ sustainable development, and realizing the coordinated development of city.October8,2005to11, the CPC Central Committee sixteen plenary session examined and adopted the " Eleventh Five-Year Plan", which defined the development of Binhai New Area as a national development strategy. Facing the new situation, as an important part of Tianjin Binhai New Area, Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (The English abbreviation is "TEDA") shoulders the great historical mission, and actively respond to the new situation of Binhai New Area. At present, the studies of TEDA are mainly concentrated in land use, economic development and urban spatial form. The study of TEDA’s own development is more, but the research of its influence on urban only stayed in economic and spatial aspects. Therefore, this article selects TEDA as the research object, from the space, economy, society and environment aspects, analysis its comprehensive effect on Tianjin city development, has great significance to achieve its own sustainable development, promote the great development of the Binhai New Area, and achieve coordinated development with Tianjin. This article first induced the related theory about the evolution of development zone and city and the research status at home and abroad. Then the article analyzed the influence of TED A on Tianjin city space, economic, social and environment. With reference to the evaluation research of domestic development zone development, the article established the evaluation index system of development zone’s impact on urban development, using principal component analysis and analytic hierarchy process, from the space, economy, society and environment aspects, evaluated TEDA’s comprehensive effect on urban development. Finally, the article put forward the future development countermeasures of integrating TEDA with Binhai New Area and Tianjin.
