With the rapid development of China’s higher education, colleges and universities appeared lots of new problems in terms of land use. Carry out the evaluation of college education land intensive use has a very important significance to regulate the construction land management, to modify and improve the university condition and standards for land use.This paper based on the related theories of urban land intensive use, learn the method of urban construction land intensive use evaluation and development zone land intensive use evaluation, carry out the evaluation of college education land intensive use in Tianjin, through qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate the extent and potential of typical campus, and then explore the potentialities and countermeasures of intensive use of landFirst, this article obtains from the theory of urban land intensive use, on the basis of research on fundamental connotation, basic theory and evaluation method for evaluation of college education land intensive use. We choose the higher education area and third education area in Tianjin as our main research area. With GIS and the SPSS system analysis software, access to higher education area in land use degree, land use structure and land use intensity based data, and data statistics, analysis of land use status for first and third education area. At the same time, based on the index system construction principles, using correlation analysis, factor analysis method to primary, simplification and optimization of evaluation indexes, establish suitable evaluation index system for evaluation of college education land intensive use. Then using the method of AHP and Entropy to determine the weight of each evaluation indicators, finally through the multifactor comprehensive evaluation model to calculate the land intensive degree score for10colleges in education area, come to the authentic assessment results, objective, comprehensive reflects the current land use of the university campus. This study established the evaluation index system has strong universality, and theoretical, practical significance for evaluation of college education land intensive use. Finally, this paper put forward the corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions for land use problems, mainly manifested in following respects. To provide policy guidance and theoretical basis for the education of Tianjin sustainable development and intensive use evaluation.First of all, should be the scientific development of the higher education land use control standards, set reasonable land use intensity index is the core; Secondly, we should constantly improve the land management system, establishment of the educational evaluation of assessment and incentive mechanism, linking the soft power of the school personnel training to intensive land use rigid target, through the necessary responsibility constraints and incentives, the university land intensive use change from passive to active, change a single external driving force for the inside; Thirdly, strictly define the nature of education land, achieve the difference of education land management, stripping the land for business out of public welfare, realization of land saving and intensive use of university education land; Moreover, we should strengthen land regulation, to carry out the idle land disposal system; Fifth, to optimize the allocation of education resources, promote the balanced development of higher education resources; Sixth, scientific planning, appropriate to expand the scale of higher education, to avoid blind expansion scale of higher education brings a series of problems of land use; Finally, should advocate the construction of universities focus on development, overall arrangements, and optimize land use structure, improving land use efficiency, build a road of sustainable development and common prosperity.
