Research On The Industry Development Strategy Of Chengdu Economic Development Zone

The automobile industry has a strong correlation with its upstream anddownstream fields. What’s more, it has significant advantages such as obviouseconomies of scale, technology and capital intensive and so on. It is worth mentionedthat the automobile industry is an important manifestation of the overall level ofnational industrial development. In recent years, the growth rate of the United States,Germany, France and other major countries has slowed down. At the same time, thevehicle production of Japan, Brazil and other countries has been in decline. Meanwhilethe rapid growth of China’s auto output has been ranked first in the world for fourconsecutive years. China has broken the existing world auto industry pattern, beingaccelerated to enhance its position in the global automotive industry pattern. From adomestic perspective, China’s automobile industry is in a rapid period of adjustment, ithas evolved into the development pattern of the six industrial clusters in the YangtzeRiver Delta, the Bohai Sea, South, northeast, central and southwest regions. ChengduEconomic and Technological Development Zone seize the automotive industry at homeand abroad to transfer a major opportunity to attract a large number of automobilecompanies and parts supporting enterprises have settled down. Volkswagen, Toyota,Volvo and other multinational auto companies have been gathering the initial formationof millions of vehicle production; the main income exceeded100billion yuan,becoming the emerging automobile industry base in China. In accordance with thecurrent speed of development, the Chengdu Economic and Technological DevelopmentZone’s automobile production will exceeded1.5million in2020and become one of thenational first-class automobile industrial park.From reality, it used literature data, competitive advantage analysis, SWOT matrixanalysis, thematic analysis and overall study, combination of theoretical research and empirical analysis and other methods to analyze Internal and external environment forthe development of the automotive industry. Also, it is pointed out that the autoindustry’s development of thinking, strategic positioning, strategic objectives anddevelopment priorities and safeguard measures to promote the sustained and rapiddevelopment of the automobile industry to provide scientific reference. It is through theresearch and analysis, the following conclusions:（1）Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone has a better basisfor industrial development, with a certain degree of comparative advantage. However,research and design and building its own brands also relatively backward, partssupporting lagging, automobile Trade, Expo, production is still in its infancy.（2）The government should play a stronger role in guiding the process of thedevelopment of the Development Zone, and encourage enterprises to accelerate thegrowth of the production scale, the early realization of economies of scale, and theintroduction of a number of well-known brand enterprises to promote the jointdevelopment of vehicle and parts.（3）In the way of development, it should continue to fostering the growth of theexisting scale of the automobile industry, the introduction of more vehicle and partsenterprises, as well as research and design, automotive logistics and other upstream anddownstream supporting enterprises, gathering to form the modern "production, teaching,research, service" as one of the Motor City.
