Research On The Division Of Major Function Zones In Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone

The outline of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan goes like this:According to resources environmental carrying capacity,the existing development density and development potential,considering China's future population distribution,economic layout,land use and urbanization patterns,land space will be divided into four key function zones,including optimized development zone,major development zone,retricted development zone and the prohibited development zone.This is a major innovation to the management of land and space development ideas and strategies for our conutry,it enrich and deepen coordinated regional development strategy,it's an important manifestation of implementing the scientific development concept..The main aim of major functional regionalization is to lay a scientific foundation for promoting the harmonious interrelations among population and nature,also will be the base of decision-making for spatial government and regional balanced development..As the core of the western country,the economic center of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River,Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone,is an important region of western,with the advancement of urbanization and industrialization,the space disordered development,administrative barriers,market segmentation,redundant construction,give rise to vicious competition,besides,the contradiction between ecosystem and economic development has become increasingly prominent.All these have seriously hampered the development of regional coordination.The main function carried out in different pace,objectives,models and policies to different function zones,can effectively mitigate the blind competition of development,it will help to optimize allocation of regional resources,help to promote of regional division of labor and cooperation,build a reasonable system of geographical division of labor;So that the two areas can complement each other to form a powerful force,it can conducive to standardize the scale of urban development,form a rational structure of space development;it also can conducive to innovate regional management model,to implement of different policies and performance different appraisal standards to different regions to promote the coordinated development of regional economy;help alleviate pressure on resources and environment,and guide the economy,population distribution to adapt to nature,forming of the coordinated development patterns. This paper take Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone as a case study,after a careful analysis of the natural economic,population,economic spatial distribution,in accordance with the principles of the main function zoning,constructing a system of 3 sub-systems which consisting of 14 indicators index,choosing108 urban,County-level cities,districts and counties,as the basic division of administrative units,,useing the methods of comprehensive statistical analysis and principal component analysis through some statistical analysis software to divided the main function objectively.This is a meaningful and brave exploration in the new situation.This paper consistsofthe following five parts.(1).Make an introduction to clarify the background,the research significance,the ideas,content, method of this articler,and reviewed the relevant research progress at home and abroad.(2) The basic research of the main function of division,which features some of the major areas of the main content and basic theory involved in the introduction.(3)It's chapter3 of this article,this part through detailed analysis and discussion of natural resources,populationdistribution,economic distribution in Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone to clear if the environment and society are coordinated in development,and can provide reference to evaluate the results.of Major functional regionalization.(4) The fourth part including fourth,fifth chapter,which are the core of this paper.,these two chapters through constructing a reasonable indicator system,useing the methods of comprehensive statistical analysis and principal component analysis through some statistical analysis software to divided the main function objectively.(5) The fifth part concluding Chapter6,this part mainly aims at each kind of major function area's development.,then propose the corresponding policy.for each functional area in order to instruct different evaluating indicator in achievements.(6):Conclusions and outlook of this study,concluding Chapter7,This part reviewed the main conclusions of the thesis,discussing the exceptions and some weakness in study and outlook.the further study.
