Problems Of Rural Tourism Development In Yibin City

Abstract:After reviewing the progresses of overseas studies on rural tourism, this paper concludes that these studies mainly focus on rural travel supply, rural travel demand and the impacts of rural tourism. Based on the findings of there view and the status quo of rural tourism, the authors believe that future focuses of overseas studies on rural tourism will shift to:inter-discipline empirical and conceptual research from different lights to discern the nature of it; researches on international common understanding of the terminology, nature, outcome and the significance of rural tourism; synchronic contrastive studies on international cooperation programs in trans-regional and trans-cultural rural tourism, and diachronic induced studies of the development of rural tourism at different stages. After analysis of characteristics of Yi bin rural health-caring tourism, it had highlighted monopolistic of longevity culture, diversity of tourist resources, and harmony between human and nature. The paper pointed out that, to accelerate new countryside construction of Yi bin rural health-caring tourism, it should realize nearby employment and increase farmers’ income; complete construction of rural basic facilities; ameliorate rural sanitary condition and transform villagers’ thought; promote adjustment of rural industrial structure; and establish protection mechanism of longevity people. After survey on development of Yi bin rural tourism, it concluded bottlenecks restricting Yi bin rural tourism development.which were that environment at longevity area shad suffered pollution; that the development was disordered and lacked of management; and that basic facilities waited for improvement. On this basis, approaches for improvement of competitiveness of Yi bin health-caring tourism had been proposed. It emphasized that it should enhance protection of longevity tourist resources, build farmhouse inn demonstration base, implement admittance system, establish community health-care system, beneficial to realizing economic, social and ecological benefits, and further manifesting its exuberant vitality.
