The inventory optimization control has always been an integral part of productionmanagement and management process for modern enterprises, and the important part ofsupply chain management. Under the mode of supply chain, Members are mutuallyindependent stakeholders, and mutual cooperation community, in which multi-echeloninventory co-relationship exists. Multi-level inventory management in supply chain notonly affects the cost, but also the common interests of the entire supply chain. Research oninventory optimization control method based on Time-based Competition in supply chainhas a very important theoretical and practical significance to supply chain competition, andalso enhances the competitiveness of the entire supply chain.The multi-echelon inventory system based on time-based competition which consistsof three vendors for finished goods, a core manufacturers and two distributors in supplychain is studied. The analysis on the structure of time cost to the multi-echelon inventory insupply chain is analyzed and the multi-stage model of inventory optimization is studied.The main text is as follows.1) The background and significance in this article are described in detail. Researchstatus of multi-echelon inventory optimization in supply chain and time-based competitionis analyzed, which is the foundation for further study of multi-echelon inventoryoptimization in supply chain.2) The connotation of supply chain management and inventory management isdiscussed in depth. The strategy and structure of multi-echelon inventory are analyzed. Thetypical inventory management methods and new inventory control theory are explained indetail. Optimization strategy and structure of multi-echelon inventory are put forward inthe application of multi-echelon inventory theory.3) The theory of time-based competition is settled to gain characteristics, content andadvantages of time-based competition. The concept of time cost is introduced. The model of multi-echelon inventory optimization in supply chain based on time-based competitionis put forward. The optimization of the model is designed and solved by genetic algorithm.4) Inventory system software in real-time supply chain is applied to simulation andanalysis as multi-echelon inventory system of an enterprise an example to verify theeffectiveness and rationality of the model and algorithm.
