With the changes of enterprise structure and management mode, more requires and new characteristics exit in Supply Chain Management, compared with the traditional method of inventory management. In SCM, inventory control has a great effect on customer server levels, the total supply chain cost and the quality of this supply chain. Therefore, it is significant to study the strategies of inventory control in SCM.In this paper, inventory control problem under the environment of supply chain management as well as related strategies has been researched. The main research contents are as follows:(1) Combining the knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control, some problems under inventory control and inventory optimization requirements are introduced; In addition, the basic mind and operational procedures of genetic algorithm are also introduced to solve problems easily.(2) A inventory control model in two-echelon supply chain distribution system is established based on the single-echelon supply chain inventory model, that is, a distribution center provide products to many downstream retailers. The inventory control strategy of model is (R, Q), combining the level of customer service and price discount, and the goal is to get the best order point and order quantity in order to minimize supply chain inventory cost. Then the model is extended to multi-echelon supply chain, every echelon can have many node enterprises, and each downstream node can purchase products from more than one upper enterprises. This situation is closer to actual supply chain.(3) The detail algorithm design is given, and the inventory control model of two-echelon supply chain distribution system is solved using the genetic algorithm toolbox gatbx. Then the paper compares the best order quantity under two situations: discount and no discount, and illustrates that price discounts strategy is an effective way for reducing inventory cost.Sixteen figures, three tables, sixty eight references.
