Abstract/Summary:
After more than thirty years development, tourism in many areas of China hasbeen improved and gradually become mature. The changes in local economy, cultureand society are obvious. Although some areas have become rich, the development oftourism in remote areas has gone to the extreme, being marginalized and screened.Yunnan Wenshan is in the minority of the inside, there is a certain degree ofcontroversy. With the recent economic, especially the increasingly development oftourism in Yunnan, especially the early stage play "where" daddy go, one season isinstantaneous in Puzhehei shooting, rise to fame, the north. So many people begin tothink that the general who are not ethnic tourism, but the reason it was chosen as thefrontier tourism, has its profound historical, political, economic, ethnic origin. And intheory, the height of the period of literature. In order to provide strong support forfurther follow-up study.Based on theories of tourism screening, marketing and consumer behavior, thispaper does an empirical study on the case of Puzhehei scenic spot in Yunnan todiscuss the history, current situation and the future of its tourism development bybrowsing literature, practical survey and questionnaire survey. From the perspectiveof geography, history, nature, society and humanity, this paper also tries to analyzeexisting problem during the process of its tourism development to define themarginalization and to find out the factors of screening and marginalization, in orderto find the key points that really influence local tourism development, sequentially toadopt targeted marketing strategies including breaking the screening,marginalization-removing and realizing tourism equitable development.Although the author have browsed a lot of the literature and done the practicalsurvey, this paper still has shortcomings because the theories of tourism screening andmarginalization relate to many aspects. These shortcomings are as follows. On the onehand, the stakeholders have different interests and they choose the information that benefits themselves when they answer to author’s questions, resulting to themisunderstanding outcomes of the survey. On the other hand, there may be difficultiesin quantitative study when calculating the strength of being screened and doing thesimilarity detection to similar tourism resources.
