The Research On Product-oriented Ship Materials Management Processes

Today with the increasingly fierce competition of the international shipping market,China’s shipbuilding enterprises took some measures to enhance the quality of marineproducts in order to improve the comprehensive competitiveness of them. However, as faras the situation is concerned, the company’s management system has become a bottleneckfor the development of enterprises, the ship materials management of the ship enterprisemanagement is a very important part, which has an important impact on the profits of theenterprise. In order to survive under the oppression of financial crisis as well as the interna-tional situation, we must take efforts to control the cost of shipbuilding materials manage-ment. This is an important issue of domestic shipbuilding enterprises through the materialsupply processes and inventory management to reduce the costs of doing business.In order to realize the processes of material management that product oriented, it is es-sential to use information technology. In China, shipbuilding enterprises supervise informa-tion mainly relying on manual work and artificial statistics. Thus, it caused low efficiency,unclear even delayed information, difficult to control the inventory and reduce the cost etc.As is known to all, Supplies accounted for the vast majority of ship enterprise funds, direct-ly impacting the competitiveness of enterprises. While the existing materials managementmode which is quite confusing has not been able to adapt to the requirements of the devel-opment of the modern shipbuilding mode. So it is extremely urgent to turn the existingmode into product-oriented mode.In this paper, aimed at the existing defects of materials management in domestic ship-building enterprises, taking a comprehensive survey of existing materials managementprocesses and its status, through description and analysis of the existing process, it is easy tofind that the traditional management process has many drawbacks. Aiming at these defects,based on the process analysis and enterprise development requirements to optimize andreorganize the existing process, this paper displayed the implementation characteristics ofthe product-oriented ship materials management from various views such as group technol-ogy, inventory optimization, supply chain management, tray set with materials managementorganizational structure. Then, the thesis put forward the practical implementation of theprinciples and implementation measures. Meanwhile, on the basis of this process, the prod-uct-oriented materials management system, the system integrates the whole supply processmanagement, ensuring the punctuality, quantity and accuracy of material supply. These ar- guments and analysis on the material aspects of our ship enterprise management has a largerpractical application and reference value.On the basis of the analysis in the process, it can be realized in computer combiningwith materials management system. Based on Microsoft.NET platform the system has agood interactive interface. Developing in C#language and using the Microsoft SQL Sev-er2005as underlying database, it makes the product-oriented materials management systembe better realized with strong security.
