With shipbuilding production pattern evolution and development, we need to build the pattern adapting to the modern shipbuilding mode- "interim product" assembly-oriented shipbuilding urgently..Its most notable characteristic is production design and outfit of procurement, production, transportation, installation, and other key aspects of the management all around the pallet to carry out the management. In the shipbuilding enterprise logistics management, material handling management connects procurement logistics and production logistics. The combination of the two things is a major research in the shipbuilding industry. In order to meet the shipbuilding flexibility production, we need to build material handling systems with flexible logistics and pallet management. It not only helps to resolve the current prevalence of not in time material supply and large inventories in shipbuilding enterprises , but also helps to reduce the shipbuilding cost and the shipbuilding cycle, which is to enhance the international competitiveness of enterprises and shorten the world's most advanced shipbuilding gap.The key point of material handling management is the outfit handling, which involves the establishment of pallet concentration plan, the management of assembly centre and site management and so on. Material handling management has a concentration plan of multi-department coordination. The optimal computation in material requirement, management of completeness , optimal operation of pallet and so on. And material handling management has complex business processes. It involves multi-departments, plan establishment difficulty, inefficient handling and complex site management. These are problems in material handling management, which the present shipbuilding enterprise needs to solve. In this thesis, pallet concentration management in shipbuilding enterprise is studied. The pallet information model based on analysis of pallet design is established. The basic function and the work flow in the assembly centre is clearly described. Based on analysis of various factors which influence material handling management, this thesis establishes the model of pellet optimized material handling, and expounds the problems in model in detail, including the multi-route choice problem in pallet concentration, pallet pre-matching analysis and pallet distribution routing problem. Based on the model of pallet optimized material handling, further analysis of plan establishment and cost control in material handling management are made, including establishment and optimization of pallet concentration plan, establishment and optimization of reserve date plan, pallet optimal operation and cost control. Specifically for the above-mentioned difficult points and problems, this thesis proposes same models and optimized solution algorithms. Then, based on analysis of the model of pellet optimized material handling, the thesis carries out information system design of pallet concentration management, proposes the unified code as the foundation, the financial control as the core, and takes pallet plan management, storage management, contract management, reservation date management, assembly centre management in pallet concentration process as key system design plan. Finally, it is set to improve the system of material handling in Zhejiang Shipyard, based on the analysis of the system of material handling in Zhejiang Shipyard. In view of problems of pallet management practice in Zhejiang Shipyard, the thesis combines with the contents mentioned above to plan program of pallet concentration management in Zhejiang Shipyard, and puts forward a series of recommendations for improvement and future planning.
