The Developing Situation And Countermeasures Study Of Luoyang’s Foreign Trade

With Luoyang’s imports and exports data from2006to2011, this paperundertakes the structural analysis of the current situation and influencing factors ofLuoyang’s foreign trade. As for the structure of imports and exports, the imports andexports percentage and speedup changes of Luoyang’s primary commodity andmanufactured goods are studied; as for the ways of foreign trade, the changes ofgeneral trade and processing trade are studies; As for the foreign trade enterpriseproperty, the changes of state-owned business, private enterprise and foreign-investedenterprise are studies; as for the import and export markets, the changes in Asia,Europe, North America, Africa and Oceania have been analyzed. The result shows thatsince the eleventh five years’ plan, Luoyang’s imports and exports have beendeveloped rapidly and the foreign trade structure has been improved a lot, butimproper problems still exist with the structure: on the product structure, Luoyang’straditional resource and labor intensive exports have large percentage; imports scale issmall and the hi-tech scale is small too. Trade surplus is big. On the trade modes,Luoyang majors in general trade and processing trade percentage grows less. On theforeign trade enterprise property, leading enterprises should be developed further. Onthe import and export markets, Luoyang’s markets center on Asia、Europe and NorthAmerica and emerging markets should be expanded wider. To perfect Luoyang’sforeign trade structure, the understanding of its importance should be improved. Morescience and technology input should be done. Innovation ability and brand buildingshould be improved. Optimize export commodity structure and increase imports,transform and upgrade processing trade. Improve educational system and transformgovernment management functions.
