With the development of multimedia, increasingly fierce competition are happenedbetween the media with the media. Facing these competitions, the various media are trying toimprove their core competitiveness. Newspapers group belong to intelligence-intensiveindustries, so the Newspaper Group have to pay more attention with the human resourcemanagement. The new media industry are more and more emphasis on human resourcemanagement and the transformation of the traditional news paper industry while also makingall sorts of place change. Faced with such fierce competition, if the news paper group want towin in these competition, we must grasp the core of the key which are good management ofhuman resources, strengthen scientific management to stimulate the enthusiasm of employees,improve productivity, create more value.American most prestigious newspaper New York Times has been living160years. Itsachievements, and the large number of outstanding efforts of the staff of editors, reporters,columnists, managers, etc. are inextricably linked. This paper has studied the New York Timeshuman resource management strategies are analyzed in their recruitment, training system, thecompensation system and aspects of reform ideas. I hope to give our newspaper in humanresources management some inspiration. By making reasonable improvements in soundhuman resources management system, improving the recruitment system, good staff trainingand institutional building a reasonable salary in order to promote the development of humanresource management in the newspaper.
