Research On Textile Industry Competitiveness Of Chinese Region

Textile industry is traditional in China, and is also competitive in export trade because ofthe low price of textile. Because of the affection of the high price of raw material and the costof labor force, China’s entering into WTO and world financial crisis, the competitiveness oftextile industry is fierce. Though the position of textile industry has changed in China, textileindustry is also important for our nation’s export trade and employment status. Thedevelopment of textile industry is not in balance in various regions, It is necessary to researchhow to promote the competitiveness of textile industry. The study of textile industrycompetitiveness and efficiency between input and output are not sufficient, we have deepresearch on the textile industry competitiveness of various regions in China in this paper.On the base of summarize the study about industrial competitiveness of overseas anddomestic, we set up the evaluation index of industrial competitiveness and measure theindustrial competitiveness among various regions in China with factor analysis. The resultreflects that the gap among different regions is huge and the competitive region of textileindustrial is in the east of China. The result also proves that industrial scale is the first factorof evaluating industrial competitiveness. We classify regions of China into6categories inwhich the regions are similar with cluster analysis.We also give some suggestions to thedevelopment of textile industrial.
