Study On Soft Power Of Circum-Bohai-Sea Region Based On Structural Equation Model

Since president Hu Jintao in the“Speech on The Eighth National Congress of the Ch-ina Federation of Literature, the Seventh Chinese Writers Association National People’sCongress”proposed“to enhance the soft power of a country is a major practical issues infront of us”in2006, domestic research in terms of soft power has been growing vigorously.In“The Eleventh Five-Year Plan”and“The Twelveth Five-Year Plan”, the economic integr-ation strategy of circum-Bohai-sea region was launched, indicating the strengthening com-munication and cooperation within the region is imperative. This article is based on the pe-rerspective to make the Bohai Sea region the“third pole”of the competitiveness in Chinafollowing the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta. To enhance Bohai Sea region’co-mpetitiveness, not only should hard power be upgraded, but also the role and value of“softpower”in the“hard power”development process.The following aspects are mainly researched in this article:First,the analysis of domestic and overseas soft power theory and regional competiti-veness and regional soft power theory are combined with my understanding to redefineregional soft power, elements of composition,as of the writing theoretical support.Secondly,according to the constituent elements to construct regional soft power indexsystem,and propose LISREL theoretical models and hypotheses.With LISREL software,the soft power of regional structural equation model fitting, testing and analysis wereconducted. Through the results of structural equation modeling latent variables,290citiesin the country’s soft power building score and ranking was analyzed and calculated.According to the regional partition methods,290cities in the country is divided into sixregions. Through clustering analysis and multidimensional scaling analysis methods, wefound that although the soft power development of the Bohai Sea region and Southeastregions is similar, there is a huge gap between it and Yangtze River Delta as well as PearlRiver Delta.Finally, this paper is based on structural equation model, the elements of soft powerAngle of bohai rim region at present stage human resources, cultural resources, public consciousness, city publicity and government power is analyzed and the development ofall the elements to improve strategy, and at present the national push forward the develop-ment strategy of bohai sea area Angle, bohai rim regional soft power for the futuredevelopment direction.
