Project management for new product development is a hot topic to the world,especially to a R&D company. How to align or lead the industry project management interms of quality, delivery and cost? A company needs to enhance her project managementcapability. In the field of electric personal grooming appliances, the company faces therequirement of launching new products fast, creatively and high cost efficiency.Traditional project management way cannot fulfill this requirement. Critical Chain(CCPM) takes the responsibility of continuous improvement ofproject management. It helps the optimization of resources allocation.CCPM is a method that (TOC) applying to project management.It has been taken as the most achievement of project management field since its release.Most international enterprises practice this method towards to great success. Thisdissertation analyzes the application of TOC and CCPM in a new project developmentprogram, details to the schedule management of a hairdryer project called WW. CCPMwas validated as a reasonable and high efficient one by comparing to traditional projectmanagement. Possible project delay with various factors was survived by the control oflead time and buffer monitoring. WW hairdryer was succeeded launch3months earlierthan expected. At last, the experiences and results of CCPM for WW hairdryer weredocumented and might be taken as valuable references of the industry projectmanagement.
