Critical chain is a rising scheduling and planning method in modern project management. This method makes the project duration less than before and to improve the work efficiency. This paper studied how to effectively identify the critical chain and how to set up a reasonable buffer size. For the identification of critical chain, this paper studied the resource optimization of two or three parallel activities which are common in projects. For setting of buffer size, the free float and the total float are studied to determine the size of the feeding buffer, and impact factor is used in the research on the setting of project buffer size. |
