Study On Comprehensive Evaluation Of Tourist Attraction Of Geopark

Geological relic landscapes are the main body of Geopark which has special geologicalscientific significance. Geopark is not only service in the geological research and popularscience education, but also can satisfy the tourists’s demand, such as a leisure, tourism,culture, entertainment, healthcare etc. At the same time, Geopark develops very quickly. Sofar, Chinese Geopark’s system has begun to take shape, formed the system which consists ofworld Geopark, national Geopark and provincial Geopark. Relying on the Geoparkconstruction in China, on the one hand, many precious geological remains got effectiveprotection, public knowledge and science popularization level promoted quickly. On the otherhand, Geopark promotes tourism and related industries, the local economic, adjustment ofindustrial structure, cultural communication and the employment rate of the residents. But, bybrowsing to each region’s tourism development report, we can see a huge difference of yearticket revenue, operating income, and the number of tourists between Geoparks. In addition,some famours scenic spot also are Geopark, such as "five mountains", which is very famous.However a large number of normal Geoparks own significant geological features, theirbusiness situation is not ideal. For this type of geological park, to improve the number oftourists, and expanding tourist market, are the key problems which need to be addressed in thedevelopment of geological parks.Based on research of tourist attraction and Geopark’s features, this thesis studies thetourist attraction of Geopark in Shaanxi Province. This paper constructed an evaluation indexsystem of Geopark’s tourism attraction, which consists of two grade index,5categories,suchas convenience factor、experience factor and resources factor etc;32factors of indicators layer,such as park location、Park interpretation system、the aesthetic of geological relic landscape、information communication of scenic sport etc. Secondly, by using the analytic hierarchyprocess and Delphi method, this paper quantative analyse the weight of evaluation indexsysterm of Geopark’s tourist attraction, and then with grey theory to build the touristattraction model of Geopark. On this basis, the author uses the model to empirical studytourist attraction of three national Geopark and a provincial Geopark in Sounthern Shaanxi Province.The essay sequences the four tourist attraction of Geoparks. By contrast thesequence with the number of Geoparks of Shaanxi Province in2012, they are quiet similar, sothe model’s validity are proved. Finally, according to the study, the author puts forward somerecommendations, hoping to find a way to improve tourism attraction of Geopark.
