Characteristics Of Yunnan Urbanization Patterns

China is in a critical period of rapid urbanization, and it is an important issue toexplore the road of urbanization with Chinese characteristics. Different withurbanization of general plain areas and developed areas, Yunnan province should haveunique urbanization development model with its own characteristics. Especially in theshortage of arable land resources, dealing with problems on the protection of thefarmland in plain area and further accelerating the process of urbanizationdevelopment, and considering the background of guiding urban development toconstruct mountain city, it is very crucial to explore new ideas, change the land usingpatterns, and explore a pattern of urbanization with the characteristics of Yunnanactual features.The author studies and analyses mainly three research contents and key issues.First, defining Yunnan urbanization model with own characteristics. That is to say, todescribe what the characteristics of Yunnan urbanization model are. Second, why todevelop Yunnan urbanization patterns with its own characteristics? What is theinevitability of its implementation? Third, what the specific practices, practice type,path method of Yunnan urbanized mode with own characteristics.To solve the above problems, first of all, the author, based on a review ofdomestic and international professional field of the research literature, summarizesdefinition and concept of urbanization and urbanization patterns, and further clarifythe classification of urbanization patterns, influencing factors and problems of how toselect urbanization mode, and stating the research status of Yunnan urbanizationmodel at present time combining with urbanization and urbanization model theory.Secondly, combining with the actual development status of the level ofurbanization in Yunnan Province, from the point of view of changes in the level ofurbanization of the population, the quality of urbanization, city size evolution and relationship between urbanization and industrialization rate, implementingmathematical analysis and evaluation, and then come to the main problems faced byYunnan urbanization, so as to explore the need for the development of Yunnancharacteristics urbanization patterns, and further analyzes the main factors affectingthe mode of urbanization in Yunnan and a very important factor which is the limit ofland resource, and then deducing urbanization model with Yunnan characteristics. Theauthor defines the Yunnan urbanization model with own characteristics innovativelyand analyses its meaning and features, and further discusses its typical cases.Finally, to the concept and features of characteristics of Yunnan urbanizationpatterns, combining with the current situation of Yunnan Province, the level ofurbanization and many issues, as well as on the background of construction ofmountain city and so on, and proposes suggestions to Yunnan urbanization model withown characteristics.In the study of Chinese urbanization models, more of them are level ofurbanization and urbanization models of a single city or urban agglomerationconcentrated in developed regions and provinces, regions with a higher level ofeconomic development, however, there are few studies on urbanization models in thewestern underdeveloped areas and the western provinces of the mountainous region,especially there are few studies on urbanization models in Yunnan Province, andexploring new model of urbanization on the background of construction of mountaincity is even more a new attempt. Therefore, to handle the relationship betweenurbanization development and utilization of resources and environment, especially inurban land using, we should protect the limited arable land resources, and changingurban land using patterns to explore a model with the actual characteristics of Yunnanurbanization which enriches theoretical and practical significance in urbanizationmodel.
