Research On The Conditions And Strategies Of Quanzhou’s Exhibition Industry

MICEE are activities with high quality, high cost and high return, which havepowerful motive force in society&economy effect and low influence onenvironment. With the fast development of world and district economy integration,many countries and districts have paid more and more attention and importance onMICEE. According to “The Developing Program of Fujian Exhibition Industry from2006to2015”, the exhibition industry of Quanzhou will enter the integrating andenhancing period from2011to2015when the province-class professional exhibitionbrand will be created. Therefore, Quanzhou shall find a special way casting herdistrict conditions to develop the exhibition industry. At present, the exhibitionindustry developing statues and economy situation of Quanzhou are not matched.There are many problems, e.g. the numbers and categories of exhibition and meetingare plentiful, but influence of existing exhibition brand is relatively less; there arenumerous areas for exhibitions and meetings, but the facilities of stadiums areunsatisfied; besides, the operation and management of exhibition activities are totallyin chaos. Facing the exciting competition, Quanzhou shall realize her advantages anddisadvantages in developing MICEE, which thus increase the importance on strategyresearches.On the basis of consulting relative information home and aboard, I introduce thedefinition of MICEE, industry and exhibition economy at first, and then study on thedeveloping status of Quanzhou exhibition industry by using the methods ofinduction, comparison and inference. Thirdly, I analyze the macro environment andcompetition advantages and disadvantages of Quanzhou by the way of PEST andSWOT. Finally, I give certain suggestion for developing exhibition industry ofQuanzhou and especially Jinjiang Footwear International Exposition after consultingthe successful experience of other countries and cities.
