In recent years, in the process of urban housing demolition, demolitioncompensation issues caused by a series of social problems have become increasinglywidespread concern by all levels of government and the masses of the people. Atpresent, in the context of the large-scale demolition of urban housing, research how toprotect the legitimate rights and interests of the people were relocated morereasonable, more effectively ensured the smooth progress of the urban construction, tomore effectively safeguard social fairness and justice and harmony and stability isvery important practical significance. In this paper, through theory with practice, usecase studies and comparative approach, urban house demolition compensation issueswere discussed. The article is divided into seven parts:The first part is an introduction from the research background and purpose ofdoing research, elaborates the domestic and foreign research status and the mainmethods used. The second part introduces the concept of the urban house demolitioncompensation, the theoretical basis of the urban house demolition compensation, andprovides a strong theoretical support for the research in the article. The third partbriefly introduces the status quo of China’s urban housing demolition compensation insix aspects, and targeted analyzes the shortcomings in the taches of house demolition compensation, highlighted the limitations of the current system. The fourth sectiontakes Tongyang Road as an example, which is one of the key demolition projects ofWuxi, conducts an empirical analysis of the demolition compensation behavior in theproject, pointing out the similarities and differences between the operational level andtheoretical level. The fifth part analysis of the main problems in the process of urbanhouse demolition compensation from macro and micro, points out that the legalsystem is still not perfect and could be improved in considering the scope of thedemolition compensation and people’s interest demands more comprehensive andmore rational, at the same time, analysis of the drawbacks of the sidedness coerciveacts. The sixth part describes the demolition compensation system of three typical andexperienced cities as Hong Kong, Shanghai and Chengdu, pointing out their desirablepractices, analyzed and gathered main experience of demolition compensation. Theseventh part describes the relevant countermeasures to improve urban housedemolition compensation, pointing out that the house demolition compensation needsto be further improved in laws and regulations, government action, system design,elements controlling, mediation system, and put forward some useful suggestions.
