Individual innovation is the foundation of higher level innovation.This study aims to explore the factors that may impact individual innovation. According to social cognitive theory, individual behavior is the outcome of interaction between individual and environment. Thus we choose goal orientation as personal traits factor for innovation leadership style as environment factor y to conduct this study.Meanwhile,we choose leader-member exchange quality as intervening variable,and put insight into the process of subordinate goal orientation affects quality of leader-member exchange,and then affects individual innovation behaviors.This research has received250questionnaires to process static analysis including description analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis with SPSS19.0.The results are listed as follows:(1)Learning goal orientation was positive to both variables innovation work behavior and leader-member exchange quality. Approving goal orientation had negative impact on the two variables.(2)Test mediate effect of leader-member exchange quality on goal orientation and innovative work behavior. The results suggested that the mediate effect of leader-member exchange quality is exist.(3) Test the direct effect as well as moderating effect of leadership style on goal orientation and innovative work behavior.
