Nowadays, thanks to the rapid development of the Electronic Commerce(E-Commerce), people are deeply impressed by the convenience and comfort in theshopping environment it brought. However, the development of E-Commerce ishindered mainly by ineffective management of credit information, which may causecredit risk, credit crisis, Internet fraud and ineffectiveness in information supervision.Therefore, it is of great importance to build and improve the credit supervision andcredit information service modes in E-Commerce. With the development of socialistmarket economy, especially after the entry into WTO, China has put increasinglymore emphasis on credit information management in the field of E-Commerce.However, there exist quite a few problems in credit information management,including the lack of unified leading from the government body, the low accessstandards for enterprises in this industry and the unlevel service qualities of variouscredit intermediaries, which seriously influence the development of socialist marketeconomy. As a result, the study on credit information management of E-Commerce isin the urgent need of being kept on the agenda.The paper applies the research methods of investigation, statistics andsimplification, with its analysis drawing references from results of foreign researcheson credit information management.In the beginning of the paper is a description on the current situations ofE-Commerce credit information management of China, followed by a detaileddiscussion of the management modes, especially the access mode which is relativelynew currently. Then, the author made a deep analysis of credit evaluation system—themain factor affecting credit information management, and also a detailed introductionto the credit system of “B2B、B2C、C2C” and summarized the major problems. Inthe final part, the author suggested new methods of credit information management asfollows: to guarantee the development of E-Commerce credit informationmanagement, to conform to principles of credit information management, to apply thethird-party credit accumulation mode and function intervention mode, as well asE-Commerce credit evaluation system.
