Nanning’s Rural Specialized Cooperative Organizations Development Research

In a market economy, the Specialized cooperative organizations of farmers is a very effective organizing mode to solve the contradiction between small-scale production and a big market. This paper takes Nanning’s Specialized cooperative organizations of farmerss as the research objects, analyzing the basic condition of those organizations by the means of collecting relevant material and field researching.The development of Nanning’s Specialized cooperative organizations of farmerss has experienced three stages, namely, infancy stage, consolidating stage and the stage of deepening development. Its generation mechanisms can be divided into four types:the ones led by capable leaders, the ones led by village organizations, the ones guided by Agriculture-related institutions, and the ones generated by enterprises. In terms of the tightness of connection between the organization and its members, three types of organizations can be observed, namely, the ones with loose connection, the ones bound by contracts, and the ones with close cooperating connections. Nanning’s Specialized cooperative organizations of farmerss have played positive roles in facilitating farmers dealing with market risks, promoting agriculture industrialization, improving agricultural standardized production level, and adjusting the industry structure of agriculture. Nanning’s Specialized cooperative organizations of farmerss are restricted by the factors of lower farmers’competence, imperfect organization system and challenged external environment.Given its semi-public service nature, the government has the obligation to support the development of Specialized cooperative organizations of farmers. Taking the experiences of developed countries in facilitating Specialized cooperative organizations of farmerss as lessons and based on the functions of Nanning Municipal Government, this paper tries to discuss how to meet the needs of Large-scale agricultural development by improving the mechanism of guidance, support and cultivation for Specialized cooperative organizations of farmerss, strengthening the supports in system, funding, technology and policy, and optimizing the surviving environment for Specialized cooperative organizations of farmerss...
